31st
Annual
Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft
Festival Saturday, Sept. 11th and
Sunday, Sept. 12th, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day
Warren County
Fairgrounds Rte. 6, Pittsfield,
Pa.
On Saturday, Sept. 11th and Sunday, Sept. 12th,
2010 this celebrated and award-winning Festival will
be returning to its popular home site, the quaint Warren
County Fairgrounds, located on Rt. 6, approximately 13 miles
west of the historic town of Warren, PA. The hours are 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and it will be held rain or shine as
most exhibits are under cover.
To help
celebrate the show's 31st anniversary, Puppen Meister Productions will offer a huge variety of children's activities, including several marionette performances, professional face painting, t-shirt making, and much more. Our main goal is to entertain,
enlighten, enthuse and enrich festival-goers by
demonstrating our country's rich cultural heritage through
the arts. Being fully aware that families and individuals
are now looking for entertainment relatively close to
home,we have put together a weekend that cannot be equaled.
For the very reasonable price of $6 for adults, $4 for
seniors and children 12 and under free of charge, (if you
attend on Saturday, this fee enables you to return on Sunday
for free!)attendees will be given the opportunity to see the
unique, handcrafted wares of the 150 artisans who have been
selected to showcase their work at this prestigious
festival. There is something for everyone's taste and
pocketbook, from one-of-a-kind collector's pieces to small
gift items.
Musical entertainment will abound.
Ecuadorian music will fill the air with the ethereal
sounds of the Andes both Saturday and Sunday, along with two
other musical groups - "Turnstiles" a fantastic duo from Ohio on Saturday and the ever-popular "Old Dawg Bluegrass Band" on Sunday. The shady picnic
grove is a wonderful resting place for tired and hungry
shoppers. A culinary feast of delectable foods await those
with a hearty appetite. Demonstrators include a live Bird
of Prey exhibit, an exotic animal display, miniature horses,
wood carving, wool spinning and weaving and chain saw carving.
There will be wagon rides and pony rides for younger
visitors as well.
A delightful Farmer's
Market, filled to the brim with fruits and vegetables and a
huge selection of perennials and fall flowers are
strategically placed at the exit gate to enable shoppers to
take home some of the bounty of the Fall season at the end
of the day. As you head toward your car, you will take with
you the memories of a day filled with the sights and sounds
of a truly American celebration!
